This is the second pair of NYDJ Clarissa Ankle (size 10) I've purchased.The color I bought was Rosewater Blush, which I thought was going to be a pale pink (hard to tell from the photo). I didn't really want that color, but it was such a good price for NYJD pants (about $17.00) and I'd loved my previous purchase so much that I thought I would try to dye them. However, buyer beware! These are much more of a pale beige. This works for my wardrobe, but if you are looking for a pale pink or rose, these are not for you. (Also, the color shows dirt relatively easily.)After washing, this pair seemed similar in fit to my previous purchase (before washing they seemed slightly larger). The pants were slightly large at the back of the waistband, but I've had that problem with most pants. A belt helps them fit without too much gapping or bunching. Otherwise, the fit is perfect on me. (I generally wear an 8 to 10 in U.S. sizing. I'm long-legged and long-waisted, but not enough to require a "tall" cut. A lot of the pants that have my waist and hips in the past, have been far too long in the leg and/or crotch.)I've been looking for comfortable, well-fitting pants for ages, and the Clarissa Ankle (size 10) are the first ones I've found that work for me in at least nine months. I almost cried after I tried on the first pair.I've seen some complaints related to this cut not being a "true" skinny pant, but nearly all the skinny-legged pants I've tried on have been far too comfortable for me to wear. For me, the Clarissa Ankle cut provides an actually flattering skinny-legged without the pain. These are the pants that have finally allowed me to move beyond boot-cut and flares.I really love them. These would be five stars if not for the slight gapping and color confusion.The quality of these jeans is very nice. They are a durable denim fabric. I especially love the soft yellow color, which is gorgeous in person. It is a little brighter than the photo, but is still soft and beautiful. a very nice cheerful color in my opinion! :) The fit is definitely as expected if you order a size down like suggested. I first ordered my usual size in this brand, and it was much too large.. My only complaint with this purchase is that the overall comfort seems a little stiff. I guess I expected a stretchy, more comfortable give to make a tailored fit in the hips and give room for the curve of the buttocks, since this is what the video claimed. I did not find that at all. I found the overall comfort stiff, which gives a flat-butt sort of look. Perhaps when they claim to suck in the tummy and make you look smaller it resulted in this effect? I don't know, I just know that for me the overall comfort was stiff and the cut seemed to flatted my curves. And for the high price, I expected the pants to be more flattering and comfortable. I still like them overall, and I will keep them because it is difficult to get a really nice color like this yellow.I just received these and yes they do run a bit smaller than other NYDJ I've purchased in the past. Based on other reviews I bought my regular size instead of going a size smaller like I normally would. The jeans fit perfectly. I like that these have a higher percentage of cotton than the Alina jeans have so I think they will be cooler. I think all of the polyester in the Alina jeans makes them hot.Revised 6/20/2016 The first pair of Alina jeans I bought my regular size due to reviews. When I first tried them on they seemed to fit well so I washed them. The first time I wore them I found out that I should have ordered a size smaller like usual with the NYDJ. My normal size was way too big in the waist. I ordered a second pair in a size smaller but I haven't worn them yet. They seem a bit tight in the waist causing some muffin top but I think they will probably stretch out when I wear them.OMG what a fabulous color (sweet pea). Thanks NYDJ for making so many great colors! Don't stop--we love it! Sweet pea is a great hot pink color. Rasperry is a lot like Sweet pea, but deeper pink more than hot pink--not as bright. These are nice and soft. Very stretchy. Great for fat and skinny days. Fibromyalgia approved (by me)--soft, air doesnt come up the leg, snug and form-fitting, but not tight, very stretchy. Sexy. NYDJ always tells you to order a slze smaller than normal, but I have to order TWO SIZES SMALLER. I'm usually 14-16, but I wear a 10 in NYDJ. I'm 5'2" with long legs and these are perfect length for me. Shows off sexy, skinny legs. Small at the ankle. I wear them as high-rise to hide any muffin top (with a blouse over to hide any camel toe), but they're more of a mid-rise I think. NYDJ pants fit a girl's figure, not a boy cut like jeans that are too big in the waist, especially in the middle of your back. Perfect length for my long legs.I just purchased the Clarissa Slim ankle jeans in black. I've never purchased NYDJ jeans before, but had just tried on a size 2 at DiIllards a few days before ordering the 0 here on Amazon. I was worried that the 0 would be too small since I normally wear either a 25 or size 26 depending on the jean, but these Clarissa jeans are very loose in the waist and down through the thigh area and even at the ankle if you compare looking at the photo. They also sit at the top of my waistline rather than mid waist. I won't be tucking anything in luckily. I stilI do like these jeans, but you need to be able to go down at least 2 sizes and not just 1 size in order to fit properly, and I see they do not have a size 00 in this jean.I really like this cut of jeans. First, it is skinny cut, second, its a 28' inseam, and i'm short. These fit tight at first ( I said to myself, "oh no, should have gotten a bigger size') but, then they stretched out and I said "oh no i should have gotten a smaller size". So, when just washed they fit tight, but they fit looser after wearing them for a while. I would say at least one size looser fit after wearing a couple hours.Fit as expected...these are typical NYDJ crops ,they do their job and are comfortable to wear .I wear my normal size in these pants, not my NYDJ size, in part because I wear them belted for golf and want a bit if extra room.I have issue that all colours not the same price. Who does that?.We may hve to buy Canadian 4 bit.Fits like a dream as if made for my body could not be happier! They are perfect and the price was amazing!!Best jeans ever! Si comfortable! Always get one size smaller as they will stretch a bit.
